Well, it's time for a new piercing.
Since I got my first tattoo, I haven't really been into piercings, but for awhile now, I've been feeling the itch to get a new one. Right now I have 8 piercings, 7 in my ear and 1 in my nose.
I'm going to have my friend and old roommate do the piercing for me. He has all the tools necessary and has done a number of piercings in the past, including his own nipples, so I feel comfortable with him doing it so long as we both are sober!
I'm thinking one of two options. Right now I've got one tragus piercing, and I'm thinking about piercing the tragus on my other ear. The other option is to pierce the anti-tragus which is probably what I'm leaning towards.
Any opinions or suggestions of other places to pierce?

ReplyDeleteNow as an old, old, old man the only piercings I grew up with were in the lobe of an ear which moved from one side to the other to designate sexual orientation. Then all of a sudden people started putting donut size holes in their lobes and. piercing septum's and all the rest, etc, etc, etc.
ReplyDeleteAs a practical matter, if you are always losing small things like car keys, house keys, ID's and what not I suggest a left butt piercing. A ring through the left cheek where you could keep say a spare key or your ID (especially helpful if it acts as a time card).
This piercing has a less beauty of body modification to it because it would normally be hidden but a more useful practical quality. At various times I have suggested this to each of my three kids when I had to leave work to come unlock their car or open a door for them but *alas* they never did so I just kept leaving work.
But you, Erica, you could start a trend! Become a trailblazer in the world of fashionable butt piercing (get your minds out of the gutter people!)and solve a great problem for parents the world over all with a pinch and a poke and a medium large ring!

ReplyDeleteAdvice from me is probably not what you're looking for. I am against all body piercings and tattoos. Only piercings I find acceptable are one in an earlobe. Reading that you have 7 piercings in your ear made me cringe with disgust. Why are you so obsessed with mutilating your face? True beauty is not done by putting holes in your face to hang jewels from.

ReplyDeletei once got my nipples pierced in canada during a drunk night out on St. Catherine's St.... intense pain for like 5 seconds and then they never hurt again... unless u dont take care of them and they get infected

ReplyDeleteWalking Man, I love your sense of humor. You def made me smile. Ya know, I'm not against the idea of a butt piercing, and I'm pretty sure my roommate wouldn't be opposed to giving me one! My biggest concern is that it would take far too long to heal, saying as I would always be sitting on it.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, the practicality of such a piercing sure is tempting. I usually don't loose my keys or cards, but chapstick. I can never hang on to that.
I'll give this a serious consideration.
